Every step you took and every dollar you raised held the power to transform lives at the Ottawa Humane Society. Let's meet two remarkable animals who experienced transformative journeys thanks to your support.

Ladybug

Ladybug, a sweet 5-year-old American bulldog mix, who came to the OHS scared, expecting a baby, and in pain from a terrible growth that made every step a struggle. Because of your kindness, we were able to give her a safe place to rest, welcome her baby, Baby Bug, and provide the surgery she desperately needed. Today, both Ladybug and Baby Bug are happy, healthy, and full of hope — all thanks to you!

Sapphire

Sapphire is a sweet, resilient three-year-old cat who was found lost and alone, desperately in need of help. When Sapphire arrived, she was suffering from fractured ribs, a broken leg, an open wound and an injured eye. Despite everything, she was still purring and soaking up every bit of love she could get. Our incredible veterinary team provided pain relief, cleaned her wound and placed a splint on her broken leg. Sadly, her injured eye couldn’t be saved and removing it was needed for her to live a happy, healthy life. Sapphire still has a long road to recovery ahead, but thanks to the philanthropic support of our caring community, she's making incredible progress.
